Seeing a need for energetic, nonprofit work in this area, we formed our organization to provide sensible solutions. We've consistently grown since then, all thanks to the helping hands of this amazing community!
We focus on making the maximum positive effort for our community. Our members and volunteers provide the momentum that helps us affect change. Using support driven models, we provide solutions that make a long-lasting difference.
ONE FAMILY AT A TIME through the proper assessment of the individual's need and providing assistance and guidance aimed at making them self reliant.
In our everyday lives where some are privileged to have access to the basic things of life, many stories are told of families/individuals/an entire village, starting and living life from a humble and rather difficult background. Osono–Dompe in the suburbs of Accra is no exception to this. A typical farming community with very little opportunities for most people to develop to their full potential was showcased to the world crying out for help.
A group of like-minded individuals from all walks of life out of compassion for the needy and underprivileged in society formed a Non–Governmental Organisation “The One Family at Time Foundation” aimed at helping others in dire need in the rural areas of Ghana by focusing on a family/individual at a time.
To transform lives; one family/individual at a time through the proper assessment of the dire need and provide assistance and guidance with the aim to make them self-reliant through projects and activities.
To change the socioeconomic status of the needy in identified communities and its immediate environs while putting a smile on their faces
To make the underprivileged self–sufficient and embark on community basic amenity projects
To raise funds to support identified needy areas
The Foundation is governed by a twelve member trustee who ensures that the core values and purposes of the foundation are reflected in its operations.
They include:
Various donation platforms have been set up for the foundation which will be managed by the board of trustees.
Members of the foundation will donate funds into the Foundation
Raise funds to support its projects through member networks.
Two part time Operations managers to be hired and work hand in hand with the executive members in managing the day to day activities of the foundation, its identified projects and activities. The members will be updated on projects/activities once every month.
The board will be guided by a constitution and will meet once every month to review projects and accounts, respectively.
The Foundation is in the process of being registered with the department of Welfare as a voluntary organisation.
Projects to be embarked on will be on a case by case basis depending on the need but with a focus on provision of accommodation, scholarships, schools, healthcare, scheme for farmers and constructing of basic facilities such as community water borehole to help with water needs, help prevent any unfortunate incidents and to serve the community at large.
Your contribution will enable us to support our projects and continue operations. We are very grateful for your generosity.
